As someone who’s met a handful of celebrities throughout my career, I have had the privilege of meeting many amazingly humble ones and a few that were... difficult. What I’ve learned through those less than pleasant interactions is that many act different around people of different socioeconomic background and privilege. And, it’s not just celebs. As a New York transplant from Mississippi, I have seen many wealthy, powerful New Yorkers behave similarly. We all need to practice humility, as there are always people less privileged than ourselves. We all need to be human, as we all experience life differently We all need to be empathetic, as we never know what other people are going through. This is a rare moment. We are all experiencing a pandemic collectively. That said, we all experience the effects of the pandemic differently. Be humble. Be human. Be empathetic.
